Dao in the Ba Ria Vung Tau province covers a surface of 77
km2 with 16 islands and small islands. Its inhabitants are
5.285 people (in 2005).
The average tempérautre is between 26 and 29 degree c. Thanks
to this pleasant climate throughout the year, its beautiful
beaches such as Dâm Trâu, Dat Doc., Bai Canh, Hon Tre, Côn
Dao has great tourist potentialities. Without forgetting the
national park of the same name, covering 15.000 ha including
900 ha of maritime zones. He is considered by l' Worldwide
organization of protection of nature (World Wildlife Fund-WWF
in English) like one of the richest natural reserves of the
world.
The island is located at an international crossroads of the
sea traffic, which could enable him to develop international
services of navigation in l' future.
Con Dao is a museum of the revolutionary history of Vietnam
where the objects, photographs and the reproduction will be
presented; a prison and sadly famous " cages with tigre"
, where were locked up the Vietnamese revolutionists during
the wars anti-Frenchwoman and anti-American.
Currently, one can go to Côn Dao, either by plane or in boat.
50 minutes are enough by plane. As for the boat, it is necessary
to count 12 hours starting from Vung Tau
Day 1 – SAI GON/VUNG TAU 120 kms
- At 10h00, the driver pick you up at hotel for departure
to Vung Tau
- He will drop you at the restaurant Lan Rung in Vung Tau,
relax and visit the white villa (an old retirement for the
French governor and later, the palate d' summer of Bao Dai,
last emperor of Vietnam) and departure for Cat Lo harbour
to take the boat for Con Dao at 17h00
- Overnight on boat
Day 2 –CON DAO
- Arrival in Con Dao at 05h00
- Pick up by bus and transfer to hotel (att : the room is
available at midday or earlier if available)
- Have breakfast on your own charge
- Relax at the hotel’s beautiful beach

Day 3 – CON DAO
- Have breakfast at the hotel
- Visit or relax by your own
- Overnight at Con Dao Resort
Day 4– CON DAO/SAIGON by plane
- Have breakfast at hotel,
- Transfer to the airport by bus ( 13 kms from hotel) for
the flight back Sai Gon
- Transfert Sai Gon airport/hotel by your own charge
